SCOPE

BRANDING

We refreshed the logo and developed a new look and feel for Knotty Pine BBQ. The colors and refreshed logo were inspired by an existing sign within the restaurant. The pig was a central part of their logo since the restaurant was founded in 1952, so we kept it to give the logo a historic feel with instant brand recognition. We simplified and modernized the typography, while still maintaining a retro vibe. The retro diner shape behind the logo ties the elements of the logo together and gives it a historic feel.

Images that show the restaurant’s history and delicious dishes were key parts of communicating the restaurant’s legacy, success and notoriety. The bold color palette evokes a fun, retro diner feel.

We infused their new look and feel into their collaterals for brand
consistency and to attract a new, younger generation of diners.
