Benefit from our collective past experience. This project is from one of our past lives, before Levo, but we loved it so much we wanted to share it with you.
We developed a new brand identity for one of Fabricut’s vignette collections, George Washington’s Mount Vernon. The new brand honors the Washingtons, the legacy of their historical home, and celebrates the inspiration behind the fabric collection.
For the collection, the Mount Vernon Historical Society shared Washington’s architectural drawings, sketches, letters, prints, and estate images with Fabricut. These were a key part of communicating the historical inspiration and authenticity behind the new fabrics in the design. To communicate the line’s historical significance and inspiration pieces, we created an elaborate montage for the collection’s look and feel. We compiled it on a parchment paper background to instantly give the line a genuine, antique quality. Then, to make it come to life, we filled it with Washington’s estate images, snippets of drawings, handwriting samples, illustrations, paintings, seals, monograms, and more
We expanded the look and feel across all of the collection’s elements to
create a consistent and recognizable collection.
Creating consistent, branded packaging for four fabric colorway books and a trim book further cemented the campaign’s look and feel.
After we created the packaging, the foundation of the campaign, we expanded the look into other campaign collaterals including a brochure, booklet, postcard, and fabric tag.
The retailer, JCPenny, carried the Mount Vernon line in their home stores. We designed a modified version of the look and feel, exclusive to JCPenny for this purpose.
We also completed many other projects for Fabricut including direct mail pieces, presentations, websites, motion graphics and more over the years.
